“Seeing the best in you emerge”
Greetings from the Southeast Area and welcome to
our web site. If you are new to our association, please take a
little time to visit the entire NAEOP web site. NAEOP offers many
opportunities for professional and personal growth to its members.
As a member of the Southeast Area you will receive newsletters
and updates from the national office. As an active member of NAEOP,
you will benefit from networking with others across the United
States.
We congratulate and join our new president, Allie Faye Matthews,
CEOE, in seeing the best in you emerge. We are challenged by her
to be our best, do our best, and always strive to achieve our
goals. She has chosen the butterfly as her symbol for the 2011-2012
year. It is so appropriate for this association. We all begin
as the ugly caterpillar, moving along doing what has to be done.
At some point we weave a cocoon, waiting for the right time and
finally burst forth as the beautiful, soaring creature we were
meant to be. Join NAEOP this year in giving and being your best
at work, home, in your associations, and in your community.
NAEOP offers many benefits to you as a member:

-

The Southeast Area rotates among the states to host our annual
professional development seminar weekend each year. Those states
not hosting are given responsibilities and assignments as we all
do our part for the success of the program. Fifty to 100 members
from several states usually attend. This year the Southeast Areas
will not conduct a professional development seminar as we are
proud to be hosting the National Institute.
Mark your calendars for April 20 – April 22, 2012 and plan
to join the Southeast Area as we host the NAEOP Spring Institute
in Rogers, Arkansas. The Embassy Suites will be our hotel site
for the weekend. We will begin on Friday, April 20th with registration
at 4:30, dinner at 5:30, and are own President Matthews will open
the institute with a presentation. Our speaker on Saturday and
half a day on Sunday will be Mr. Willie Johnson. His greatest
enjoyment comes when giving motivational and inspirational presentations
to groups.
Attending this institute will give participants 15 hours of PSP
credit. Registration and hotel reservation information will be
included in the NES Connector.
A Southeast Area newsletter will be sent out four times a year
