Tour #1 - Golden Tour - Butterfly Pavilion,
Red Rocks/Shiprock Cafe, Coors Brewery
The first stop on this tour will be the Butterfly
Pavilion, a tropical rainforest where you'll be able to experience
being "up close and personal" with over 1,200 butterflies.
Next it's on to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. Lunch will be at
the Shiprock Cafe at Red Rocks and you'll have time to take in the
sights from high atop Red Rocks, viewing Denver and beyond. Then
on to Coors Brewery in Golden where you'll have the opportunity
to taste the famous "Rocky Mountain Spring Water" and
what they've done with it. A brief drive through Golden, Colorado's
first capitol city, will be included.
Tour fee includes all admissions and lunch.
Cost: $60 (minimum of 53 people)

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Note: In order to accommodate early arrivals who
attend Tours 1 and 2, only king room accommodations are available
on July 4 and 5. You may then transfer to a double room for the
remaining nights of your stay, if necessary. This must by requested
at the time you make your hotel reservations.
Tour #2 - Downtown Denver Walking Tour
Your first stop will be the famous Brown Palace Hotel.
From there a historical guide will take you on a stroll through
downtown Denver, pointing out historical places as well as interesting
sites. The tour will stop at Dixon's Restaurant for their popular
Sunday morning brunch and time will be allowed at this stop to visit
the famous Tattered Cover Bookstore which is next door. Then on
to Union Station and LoDo (lower downtown). To finish up the tour,
you'll board the Platte Valley Trolley for a guided tour of LoDo
and the historical areas around the Platte River.
Plan to wear comfortable walking shoes, bring along
sunscreen and a hat.
Tour fee includes all admissions and brunch.
Cost: $50 (minimum 35, maximum 40 people)

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Tour #3 - Retirees Tour - Estes Park
Leaving your hotel, you'll take a lovely drive into
the mountains to the Stanley Hotel which is a luxurious historic
landmark hotel in a spectacular mountain-view location. A fun ghost
and history tour awaits you before lunch at the hotel. There will
be time after lunch for picture taking, shopping in Estes Park or
just visiting on the grounds of the hotel.
Tour fee includes ghost/history tour and lunch.

Tour #4 - Boulder - Definitely Not Your Ordinary
Tour
You will be picked up in one of Banjo Billy's buses
(see banjobilly.com) for a fun ride first to Celestial Seasonings
and a chance to taste some of their famous teas before taking the
guided tour of the facility. Time to shop in their gift shop and
then you are off to Boulder for lunch and shopping on the Pearl
Street Mall. The Pearl Street Mall is a pedestrian promenade with
eclectic street performers, art galleries, shops, and many restaurants.
Boulder has been known as "7 square miles surrounded by reality,"
for a very good reason!
After lunch, you'll again board Banjo Billy's bus
for a guided tour giving you historical information, ghost stories,
etc. of Boulder.
This trip is not for the faint of heart as the buses
are not luxury buses and you'll be riding in an old school bus which
has been outfitted with couches and overstuffed chairs. This will
definitely be a tour like you've not experienced before.
Tour fee includes bus and tours. Lunch in Boulder
will be on your own.
Cost: $37 (limited to 21 passengers per bus/maximum 42)

Tour #5 - Historical Tour Downtown Denver
You'll visit Colorado's state capitol and have the
opportunity to climb to the very top of the dome and view the Rocky
Mountains. The dome portion of the tour is limited to 30 people
and only those who can climb the 99 steps to the top should even
consider this part of the tour. If you wish to do this part of the
tour, you must sign up for this on your registration. Those who
choose not to make the climb will be able to continue the guided
tour of the capitol. Those who make the climb will be able to join
a guided tour waiting for them.
The Colorado Quilt Guild will have an exhibit of 100
quilts on display for those who wish to see this while at the capitol.
The state capitol is not air conditioned so the tour is scheduled
early in the day. Then on to the US Mint and a guided tour to see
how your money is made.Time will be allotted to visit the US Mint
shop to purchase some coins if you wish. Lunch, which is included
in the tour, will be at the Old Spaghetti Factory that is housed
in the historic Tramway Building. This building served the longest
continual cable system in the world when it was built in 1889. There
will be some time after lunch to walk over to the 16th Street mall
for some shopping.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to do some walking.
- Please indicate if you wish to climb to the dome as part of
the tour. This is limited to 30 people with first come, first
served.
- Please indicate on your registration form if you wish the vegetarian
meal for lunch.

Tour #6 Colorado Springs Trip - Air Force
Academy, Manitou Springs, and Flying W Ranch
You'll leave the Omni in the morning and take a scenic
drive down to Colorado Springs, viewing Castle Rock and Pikes Peak
on the way. First a stop at the Air Force Academy seeing the famous
AFA chapel and spending a little time at the Visitors Center where
you'll learn more about the academy and the life of the cadets who
attend there. Then on to Manitou Springs for lunch and shopping/sightseeing
on your own. The Arapahoe, Cheyenne, Kiowa, and Ute Indians drank
from the town's mineral springs believing these were sacred waters
that cleared the mind and cured physical ailments. While you may
not care to drink the water, you'll find this a fun and beautiful
place to visit. Nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs
is steeped in Victorian charm, quirky shops, sidewalk cafes, and
art galleries. Then back on the bus and on to the Flying W Ranch
for a wonderful Western dinner and entertainment under the stars.

Springs

Tour #7 - Breckenridge Trip - Echo Lake, Georgetown Loop
Train Ride, Breckenridge Overnight/Two Day Trip
You'll leave the Omni and drive up into the majestic Rocky Mountains,
first stopping at Echo Lake for a visit to a beautiful mountain
site. Then on to Georgetown for lunch and a trip on the Georgetown
Loop Railroad. The beauty of the rugged Rocky Mountains surrounds
you as an old-time steam locomotive chugs its way up the canyon,
hauling your train past the remains of several gold and silver mines.
Our next stop is Breckenridge, a ski town with lots to offer visitors.
There are numerous restaurants and shops which will keep anyone
happy. You'll spend the night here staying at the luxurious Great
Divide Lodge nestled in the mountainside. Saturday evening and part
of Sunday are yours to explore all that there is in Breckenridge
before boarding the bus for the trip back to the Denver area.
Tour fee includes train ride, hotel, and transportation to Breckenridge.
All meals are on your own. Cost of tour depends on whether you choose
double occupancy at hotel or single occupancy.

$125 - Double occupancy

Minimum 53 people needed for this trip
Important Information: Your sunday night hotel reservation will
be at the Red Roof Inn near the DIA airport. The Red Roof Inn offers
complimentary shuttle to the airport, and a complimentary breakfast.
The room rate for this hotel is $85 (plus tax) and you are responsible
for making your own hotel reservations and paying for this separately.
