Email Etiquette: Why Is It Important? With 88% of all internet users in the U.S. using email as a form of communication, does your email communication with colleagues, potential employers and perhaps your boss, convey the correct message? Basic etiquette topics to be discussed will include addresses and personal names, subject lines, message content, signatures, replies and email courtesy.

Survive & Thrive: A dream or wish is the way we would like the world to be. A goal is what we intend to do to make it happen. People who survive and thrive have goals–they make things happen. Becoming a Better You: Thinking you could be a better person…who couldn’t? It’s not whether we need to be better, but whether we choose to be better. The A, B, C’s of Team Building! Basically everything we learned as youngsters has helped us to be part of a team, whether it was sharing our crayons or taking turns as the teacher’s monitor. The basic skills we developed then are the same skills that we use today as adults. Sometimes we prefer to get the task done alone, but soon find out it would be fun to work together with others. This VERY interactive presentation will reveal just how important it is to be a vital member of a team, because we’re all in it together.

School Secretary Survival A school secretary’s job is as wide, varied and diverse as any other job, but sometimes we could all use a few tips to ‘survive.’ Some of the topics we’ll discuss are communication, the ESL/ELL student, appropriate vs. inappropriate adult behavior, confidentiality, and most importantly, taking care of YOU. This workshop will be an open forum where everyone is invited to share some of their tried and true tips also!!
