Welcome to the Southeast Area website. If you are new to our association, please take a little time to visit the entire NAEOP website. NAEOP offers many opportunities for professional and personal growth to its members. As a member of the Southeast Area you will receive information and updates from the national office. As an active member of NAEOP, you will benefit from networking with others across the United States.
NAEOP President Wendy Heslink has chosen “Learn, Inspire, Lead” as her theme for 2016-2017. “Learn, Inspire, Lead” offers so many options for us as Educational Office Professionals. We have the ability to “learn” from other educational office professionals through networking, NAEOP Well Rounded Educational Office Professionals webinars, Ed2Go courses, and professional development. By becoming more active in NAEOP we can “inspire” others to become more active also. We can “Lead” by becoming officers or committee members of our local, state and national associations. President Heslink has offered us a truly obtainable goal for this year in NAEOP and I urge you to join us, as we “Learn, Inspire, Lead”.
NAEOP offers many benefits to you as a member:
- Professional Development
- Professional Standards Program
- Annual Conference and Institutes
- Network for receiving and sharing
The Southeast Area rotates among the states to host our annual professional development seminar weekend each year. Those states not hosting are given responsibilities and assignments as we all do our part for the success of the program. In the spring of 2017, the Southeast Area will conduct a professional development seminar on the Mississippi Gulf Coast hosted by Mississippi AEOP. Attending the weekend seminar will give participants the opportunity to earn PSP credit and to network with other educational office professionals. Details will follow as plans are finalized.
