Length of time in Education Office Profession: 40 years

Bio: After graduating from high school, marriage and 3 children, I attended 2 years of college.  I began my Educational Office Profession as a high school principal’s secretary.  After 3 years I was promoted to secretary to the superintendent of schools.  Besides the regular duties I was in charge of all transportation, athletics and obtaining substitute teachers for the entire district.

During that time, I became a member of KAEOP and served on many committees and served as state President. KAEOP Member for 46 years.  After I joined NAEOP in 1981, I held the position of Central Area Director, NAEOP Conference Chairman, was appointed as a presidential aide, served on the Foundation Board and was elected or appointed for many committees and a NAEOP Board-Retiree Ex-officio.  After retiring I became a NAREOP member.  I was appointed to many committees, served as NAEOP Conference Liaison and elected Vice President up to and including President of NAREOP.  Have attended 37 annual NAEOP conferences.
