Dear Northwest Area Members,

Sorry it’s been so long since you last heard from me. Like many of you, work and life in general seem to keep me running from one thing to the next. The never ending emails, projects, student employees, budgeting, semester close-out; all those things and more that keep life interesting and why I pretty much love my job! I’d just love a few more ‘down’ days that I can visit more with my colleagues.

The Northwest Area is able to elect someone to serve on the NAEOP PSP Committee for the next two years. Nominations will be accepted through May 27. To be eligible for nomination you must:

  1. Be an active or retired member of NAEOP

  2. Hold a current PSP certificate (CEOE/CESE not required)

  3. Complete the nomination form at: https://forms.gle/gxGKC3TZ1o4ctYD66

 Upcoming NAEOP Events:

  • Northwest Area Meeting: Our Northwest Area annual meeting will be June 9, 2022. It is scheduled for 1 ½ hours. You can access the Agenda (in development) here.

  • 2022 NAEOP Conference: To receive the $100 NAEOP Educational Foundation registration credit, your registration needs to be submitted by May 31. We are also looking for more First Timer mentors which you can indicate on your registration form. More information is available at https://www.naeop.org/annual-conference. I’ve already registered so I hope to see many of you there in person! Please grab me and say hello!

Other Professional Development:  One of the benefits of being a NAEOP affiliate is the ability to share information about your professional development with NAEOP by having it posted at https://www.naeop.org/pd-opportunities.  If you have something planned, please remember to submit it through the NAEOP website.  We would also like to share it on the Northwest Area website: https://www.naeop.org/northwest-area, so let me know whenever your local, county, regional or state association has something planned.

 Thanks,

Shelly Doty, CEOE
