In a world where educational office professionals are constantly managing systems, supporting leaders, and sustaining institutions, it can be easy to put our own development last. The number of people in the world who are age 65 and older has increased quickly over the last few years. Many of them are people we know and love. This session will address issues of the aging population, caregiver opportunities, and resources available for a number of care situations. The presentation is based on personal experience and work toward the speaker's Case Management for the Healthcare and Gerontology Professional certificate.
Professional Standards Program (PSP) 101
Learn about the why, what, and how of the PSP program. The session will provide an overview of the program, reasons for participating, and starting the application process. This session is appropriate for those new to the PSP program.
Transitions: Moving Forward
Everyone experiences transitions in their work, family, and other aspects of life.Change is presented by our environment, our associates, and ourselves. Adjustments and modifications impact us in a range of positive to negative ways. No matter the type of transition, we all go through them. In this workshop we will talk about the steps humans go through during typical transitions and ways we can be better prepared to come out the other side ready for the next life steps. We will also touch on ways to support one another.
